In this paper, the financial reports of Podravka d.d., one of the most successful companies in Croatia, were analyzed. As a joint-stock company, Podravka d.d. prepares business plans annually, and the focus of this paper is on the budgeted income statement for the year 2024. Budgeting is a frequently used tool for monitoring the company's performance in a changing environment. Through indicator analysis, the state of the company and its business performance will be determined. Total revenues and expenses have been increasing in recent years, but revenues have been growing at a faster pace, which indicates better business results at the end of the observed period than at the beginning, demonstrating that Podravka d.d.'s performance can be viewed as positive and successful. To manage a company successfully, it is essential to have top experts in the fields of accounting and finance who are familiar with financial statements. Thanks to business ethics and excellence, commitment to goals, extra effort, and the daily growth and dedication of employees, the Podravka Group achieves fundamental success. Therefore, it can be concluded that Podravka is one of the best examples of a company that operates successfully and efficiently, not only in the Croatian market but also globally.
