Abstract
Turizam predstavlja jednu vrlo masovnu društveno ekonomsku pojavu koja na temelju svoje dinamičnosti može dovesti do neočekivanih razmjera. Gospodarski te socijalni učinci su enormni. Cilj ovoga rada je teorijski objasniti doprinos turizma razvoju slabije razvijenih regija, te na primjeru Slavonije istaknuti koje koristi slabije razvijena regija može imati od razvoja turizma. Unutar Republike Hrvatske, Slavonija je turistički vrlo neaktivno područje koje je potrebno usmjeriti prema kvalitetnom pozicioniranju kako bi se ostvarila određena turistička korist. Ovo u značajnoj mjeri utječe na samo gospodarstvo s obzirom da dolazi do porasta financijskih primitaka, odnosno otvaranja novih radnih mjesta, povećanja životnog standarda domaćeg stanovništva, otvaranja novih industrija i djelatnosti te ujedno i mogućnosti pokretanja različitih investicija.
Abstract (english)
Tourism represents a very massive socio-economic phenomenon that, based on its dynamism, can lead to unexpected proportions. The economic and social effects are enormous. The aim of this paper is to theoretically explain the contribution of tourism to the development of less developed regions, and on the example of Slavonia to point out the benefits that less developed region can benefit from the development of tourism. Within the Republic of Croatia, Slavonia is a very inactive tourist area that needs to be directed towards quality positioning in order to achieve a certain tourist benefit. This significantly affects the economy itself given that there is an increase in financial receipts, that is the creation of new jobs, an increase in the living standards of the local population, opening new industries and activities and at the same time the possibility of launching various investments.
