Abstract
Stabilnost financijskog sustava od iznimne je važnosti za svaku zemlje. Financijski sustav preuzima različite rizike koji su rezultat promjena, utjecaja i poslovnih izazova. Upravljanjem rizicima u bankarskom poslovanju se želi suzbiti negativni utjecaj na rezultat poslovanja. Jedan od najčešćih rizika koji se javljaju u poslovanju banaka je kreditni rizik. Jedan od načina upravljanja kreditnim rizikom je upotreba financijskih izvedenica koje su doživjele ekspanziju na tržištu u posljednjih nekoliko godine. Financijske izvedenice omogućuju razmjenu rizika kamata i valuta, a najpoznatija vrsta kreditnih izvedenica je razmjena kreditnog rizik (eng. credit default swaps).
Abstract (english)
The stability of the financial system is extremely important for every country. The financial system assumes various risks as a result of changes, impacts and business challenges. Risk management in banking is intended to suppress the negative impact on business results. One of the most common risks that occur in the operations of banks is credit risk. One way to manage credit risk is to use financial derivatives that have experienced an expansion in the market in recent years. Financial derivatives enable the exchange of interest rate and currency risks, and the most well-known type of credit derivatives is credit default swaps.
