This thesis “Non-verbal communication“ describes a way of communicating in a non-verbal way, without any spoken word. Non-verbal communication is also called “body language“ because it uses body movements as communication. It explains the difference between verbal and non-verbal communication, importance of knowing non-verbal signs and their right usage. It researches in what way a certain body part sends different type of message, what are the distance zones in communication, how body language affects businessmen and can body language be learned or faked. This thesis answers those questions precisely, it explains the problematic and closely describes why non-verbal communication is being increasingly researched until today. By the research in this thesis it has been established that non-verbal communication is more important than verbal during the conversation because it is characterized by honesty, in other words it explains the real condition of a person and it can reveal if what is said is actually true. It is confirmed that non-verbal communication is very complex and it is hard to mask it with fake body language because it is almost impossible to harmonize mind and body for a longer period. Emotions should not be covered because any physical or legal person can cause more damage than benefit for themselves or their company.
