Abstract
Rad donosi sažeti prikaz definicija društvenog poduzetništva i primjera postojećeg stanja društvenog poduzetništva u Republici Hrvatskoj. Društveno poduzetništvo u Hrvatskoj se pojavilo prije desetak godina te se od tada uspješno razvija. Europska unija je prepoznala značenje društvenog poduzetništva kao jednog od ključnih elementa u prevladavanju trenutačnih društvenih i ekonomskih problema. Za razliku od neprofitne organizacije, društveno poduzetništvo i dalje donosi profit, ali fokus je stavljen na društvene ili ekološke promjene ostvarene tijekom ostvarivanja te dobiti. Može se zaključiti kako je biti društveni poduzetnik zahtjevan posao. Odnosi se ne samo na stvaranje bogatstva, već i na zadovoljavanje društvenih potreba. To znači da poduzetnik mora pronaći načine kako osigurati ostvarivanje potreba zajednice, a da ne ugrozi povrat svojih investitora i dioničara.
Abstract (english)
The paper summarizes the definitions of social entrepreneurship and examples of the current state of social entrepreneurship in the Republic of Croatia. Social entrepreneurship in Croatia emerged ten years ago and has been developing successfully ever since. The European Union has recognized the importance of social entrepreneurship as one of the key elements in overcoming current social and economic problems. Unlike a non-profit organization, social entrepreneurship still makes a profit, but the focus is on the social or environmental changes that have been made while making that profit. It can be concluded that being a social entrepreneur is a challenging job. It refers not only to wealth creation but also to meeting social needs. This means that the entrepreneur must find ways to ensure that the needs of the community are met without compromising the return of his investors and shareholders.
