Abstract
Internet of Things (IoT) predstavlja mrežu međusobno povezanih uređaja koji komuniciraju i razmjenjuju podatke putem interneta. Kako IoT sustavi postaju sveprisutniji u raznim područjima života i industrije, sigurnosni izazovi postaju ključni aspekt njihovog razvoja i implementacije. Sigurnosni mehanizmi u IoT sustavima imaju za cilj zaštititi podatke, osigurati privatnost korisnika i spriječiti neovlašteni pristup i napade. Među najznačajnijim prijetnjama su neovlašteni pristup,napadi uskraćivanjem usluge (DDoS), zlonamjerni softver i ugrožavanje privatnosti podataka. IoT uređaji često imaju ograničene resurse i sigurnosne kapacitete, što ih čini lakom metom za napadače. Autentifikacija i autorizacija su ključne za osiguranje da samo ovlašteni korisnici i uređaji mogu pristupiti sustavu. Korištenje metoda poput dvofaktorske autentifikacije može značajno povećati sigurnost. Šifriranje podataka tijekom prijenosa i skladištenja osigurava da osjetljivi podaci ostanu zaštićeni i nedostupni neovlaštenim stranama. Enkripcija štiti informacije od presretanja i neovlaštenog pristupa. Sigurnosne politike definiraju pravila i procedure za sigurno korištenje IoT uređaja i mreža. Implementacija ovih politika pomaže u standardizaciji sigurnosnih mjera i osigurava dosljednu primjenu sigurnosnih praksi. Praćenje i detekcija upada uključuje korištenje naprednih sustava za nadzor koji mogu prepoznati anomalije i potencijalne prijetnje u realnom vremenu. Ovi sustavi omogućuju brzu reakciju na sigurnosne incidente i minimiziraju štetu. Sigurnost IoT sustava predstavlja dinamično područje koje zahtijeva stalno prilagođavanje i unapređenje. Uz pravilnu implementaciju sigurnosnih mehanizama, moguće je značajno smanjiti rizike i osigurati pouzdanu i sigurnu operaciju IoT uređaja i mreža. Budući razvoj sigurnosnih tehnologija bit će ključan za zaštitu rastućeg ekosustava IoT-a i očuvanje povjerenja korisnika.
Abstract (english)
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of interconnected devices that communicate and exchange data over the Internet. As IoT systems become more common in various areas of life and industry, security challenges are becoming a key aspect of their development and implementation. Security mechanisms in IoT systems aim to protect data, ensure user privacy, and prevent unauthorized access and attacks. Among the most significant threats are unauthorized access, denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, malware, and compromising data privacy. IoT devices often have limited resources and security capabilities, making them an easy target for attackers. Authentication and authorization are essential to ensure that only authorized users and devices can access the system.Using methods like two-factor authentication can significantly increase security.Encrypting data during transmission and storage ensures that sensitive data remains protected and inaccessible to unauthorized parties. Encryption protects information from interception and unauthorized access. Security policies define rules and procedures for the safe use of IoT devices and networks. Implementing these policies helps standardize security measures and ensures that security practices are applied consistently. Intrusion tracking and detection involves the use of advanced monitoring systems that can identify anomalies and potential threats in real-time. These systems allow for a quick response to security incidents and minimize damage. The security of IoT systems is a dynamic area that requires constant adaptation and improvement.With the proper implementation of security mechanisms, it is possible to significantly reduce risks and ensure the reliable and secure operation of IoT devices and networks. Future developments in security technologies will be critical to protecting the growing IoT ecosystem and maintaining user trust.
