Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je analizirati i obrazložiti pojam kartela. Kartel je sporazum između konkurentskih tvrtki za ograničavanje konkurencije često putem namještanja cijena, ograničavanja proizvodnje ili dijeljenja tržišta. Cilj kartela je povećanje profita članova na račun potrošača, smanjenje konkurencije i kontrola tržišnih uvjeta. Karteli su nezakoniti u većini zemalja zbog negativnog utjecaja koji imaju na tržišnu ekonomiju, uključujući više cijene, smanjenu inovativnost i ograničen izbor za potrošače. Regulatorna tijela diljem svijeta aktivno rade na prepoznavanju i sankcioniranju kartela kako bi zaštitili slobodna tržišta i konkurenciju.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this work is to analyze and explain the concept of cartel. A cartel is an agreement between competing firms to restrict competition, often by fixing prices, limiting production, or sharing markets. The aim of the cartel is to increase the profits of the members at the expense of consumers, reduce competition and control market conditions. Cartels are illegal in most countries because of the negative impact they have on market economies, including higher prices, reduced innovation and limited choice for consumers. Regulatory bodies around the world are actively working to identify and sanction cartels to protect free markets and competition.
