For this final paper, the topic "DHCP Protocol" was chosen, covering the theory of the DHCP protocol, its purpose, and practical application. The DHCP protocol is used for dynamically assigning IP addresses to any device connected to the network. In addition to the theoretical examination of the DHCP protocol, this paper also demonstrates how the DHCP protocol assigns IP addresses to our devices in practice and includes the configuration of a secure network using a "Mikrotik" router. To capture the communication between the DHCP protocol and a personal computer connected to the internet, the application "Wireshark" was used, allowing us to monitor all network packets. The configuration of the "Mikrotik" router can be performed in several ways, and in this paper, the internet browser "Google Chrome" was used, where the initial IP address of the router is entered to access it.
