Abstract
Pomoću deviznog tečaja koji predstavlja instrument monetarne politike može se odrediti kojom brzinom i u kojem smjeru će se razvijati gospodarstvo neke zemlje. S obzirom na to, nosioci monetarne politike u današnjem svijetu se susreću s problemom izbora pravog sustava deviznog tečaja u kojem bi mogli ostvariti gospodarski potencijal. Koliko je važan devizni tečaj pokazuje nam to što se može promatrati pomoću više razina, od pojedinca preko multinacionalne kompanije do cjelokupnog gospodarstva. Cilj ovog istraživanja je putem dostupne literature i drugih izvora prikazati realni devizni tečaj kao pojam i njegov utjecaj na konkurentnost. Uz objašnjenje pojma realnog tečaja, načina njegovog izračunavanja te njegov značaj za ekonomski rast, u radu su opisane determinante realnog tečaja te transmisijski kanali djelovanja realnog tečaja na rast.
Abstract (english)
Using the exchange rate, which is an instrument of monetary policy, it can be determined at what speed and in what direction the economy of a country will develop. With this in mind, monetary policy holders in today's world are faced with the problem of choosing the right exchange rate system in which they could realize their economic potential. How important the exchange rate shown as that by the fact that it can be seen to help many levels, from an individual to a multinational company to the entire economy. The aim of this research is to present the real exchange rate as a concept and its impact on competitiveness through the available literature and other sources. Along with an explanation of the concept of the real exchange rate, how it is calculated, and its significance for economic growth, the paper describes the determinants of the real exchange rate and the transmission channels of the real exchange rate's effect on growth.
