Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad se fokusira na instalaciju Linux servera s podrškom za virtualizaciju. Virtualizacija je tehnologija koja omogućava pokretanje više virtualnih računalnih okruženja na jednom fizičkom serveru. Ova tehnologija je postala ključna u modernim IT infrastrukturama jer omogućava učinkovito iskorištavanje hardverskih resursa, poboljšava skalabilnost i olakšava upravljanje računalnim sustavima. Prvi dio rada fokusira se na pitanje što je to virtualizacija, prednosti i mane virtualizacije, vrste hipervisora i proučavanje popularnih virtualizacijskih platformi. Drugi dio rada fokusira se na instalaciju Proxmox-a na server, otvorenu platformu za virtualizaciju baziranu na Debianu. Opisuje se postupak instalacije, uključujući pripremu i pokretanje instalacije, konfiguraciju te se ističu osnovne značajke Proxmox web sučelja.
Abstract (english)
This master's thesis focuses on the installation of a Linux server with virtualization support. Virtualization is a technology that enables the running of multiple virtual computing environments on a single physical server. This technology has become crucial in modern IT infrastructures as it allows efficient utilization of hardware resources, improves scalability, and facilitates the management of computer systems. The first part of the thesis focuses on the concept of virtualization, the advantages and disadvantages of virtualization, types of hypervisors, and an examination of popular virtualization platforms. The second part of the thesis centers around the installation of Proxmox on the server, an open platform for virtualization based on Debian. It describes the installation process, including preparation and initiation of the installation, configuration, and highlights the key features of the Proxmox web interface.
