Abstract
U radu je opisana važnost DHCP protokola u RAN (eng. Radio access network) mrežama, s osvrtom na IPv6. Realizirana je programska kontrola DHCP poslužitelja, te izrađena dinamička biblioteka koja modificira ponašanje DHCP poslužitelja. Opisano je ponašanje poslužitelja i klijenta zavisno o značajkama klijenta. Preciznije su opisani dhclient, DHCP tipovi poruka i opcije te specifičnosti proširenja KEA poslužitelja preko HOOKS dinamički učitane biblioteke. DHCP je najčešći mrežni protokol koji se danas koristi, TCP/IP model na koje je zasnovan Internet zahtijeva da svaki mrežni čvor ima dodijeljenu jedinstvenu 32-bitnu IP adresu. DHCP je protokol koji omogućava pojedinačnim čvorovima na mreži da dobiju svoju konfiguraciju preko DHCP poslužitelja. Najznačajniji dio informacija koje DHCP poslužitelj pruža svojim klijentima su IP adresa klijenta, mrežna maska, DNS poslužitelji, IP adresa podrazumijevanog usmjernika i drugi parametri konfiguracije u zavisnosti od specifičnosti dobavljača.
Abstract (english)
This bachelor’s thesis describes the importance of DHCP usage in radio access network, with reference to IPv6. Program control of DHCP server and creation of dynamic library that modifies DHCP server behavior were realized. Server and client behavior is analyzed depending on the client's vendor specific. The specifics of KEA server extension via HOOKS dynamically loaded library, DHCLIENT, and DHCP options are described. The most common networking protocol in use today, TCP/IP, requires that each network-capable node have a unique 4-byte number (an IP address) assigned to it. As previously mentioned, DHCP is a protocol that allows individual computers on the network to get their configuration from a DHCP Server. The most significant part of the information that a DHCP Server provides to its clients is the IP address, the DNS servers, the default gateway IP address, and other configurations parameters depending on vendor specific.
