Abstract
U poslovanju s inozemstvom sveprisutan je rizik, kako za kupca tako i za prodavatelja. Da bi se minimizirao rizik obiju strana ključnu ulogu u posredovanju ima banka putem različitih instrumenata plaćanja u poslovanju s inozemstvom. Instrumenti plaćanja koji se koriste u poslovanju s inozemstvom su međunarodni dokumentarni akreditiv, bankovna doznaka, dokumentarna naplata, čekovi, mjenice, te komercijalno kreditno pismo. Međunarodni dokumentarni akreditiv ključni je instrument u poslovanju s inozemstvom jer je zbog svog mehanizma naplate najsigurnija vrsta plaćanja. Plaćanje akreditivom smanjuje rizik i kupca i prodavatelja što je od izuzetnog značaja posebice kada se radi o dva poduzeća koja do sada nisu surađivala.
Abstract (english)
There is a pervasive risk in doing business abroad, both for the buyer and the seller. In order to minimize the risk of both parties, the bank has a key role in mediation through various payment instruments in foreign operations. Payment instruments used in foreign operations are international documentary letter of credit, bank transfer, documentary payment, checks, bills of exchange, and commercial letter of credit. International documentary credit letter has a key role in doing business abroad because it is the most secure type of payment due to its billing mechanism. Paying with a credit letter reduces the risk of both the buyer and the seller, which is extremely important when it comes to two companies that have not cooperated before.
