Abstract
Od samih početaka turizma, najbitniji segment svake odluke vezao se na pitanja kao što su: Kako zadovoljiti turista? Koje aktivnosti treba poduzeti kako bi se turistu pružilo maksimalno zadovoljstvo? No, što kada turist ne želi biti pasivni promatrač, već želi aktivno sudjelovati u turizmu, a pritom iz tog odmora izvući maksimalno zadovoljstvo na jedan posve drugačiji način. U tome ključnu ulogu može imati na našim prostorima relativno novi oblik turizma, poznat pod nazivom ... More volonturizam. Upravo volonturizam turista pretvara iz pasivnog promatrača u aktivnog sudionika. Volonturizam podrazumijeva moderni spoj volontiranja i turizma, kojemu je cilj da turist kroz pomoć lokalnih uprava, profitnih i neprofitnih organizacija poštujući načela održivog razvoja, dobiju mogućnost da svojim volonterskim radom doprinesu rješavanju problema na određenom području, ostvarujući pritom nezaboravna iskustva. Međutim, volonturizam je posebno značajan zbog doprinosa održivom razvoju lokalnih područja koji se bazira na suradnji svih dionika u destinaciji budući da volonturisti sudjelujući u volonturističkim programima zadovoljavaju svoje potrebe za autentičnim turističkim doživljajem ali i ostavljaju pozitivan trag u destinaciji u kojoj borave. Abstract (english)
From the very beginnings of tourism, the most important segment of every decision has related to issues such as: How to satisfy the tourist? What activities should be undertaken to provide the tourist with maximum satisfaction? However, what if a tourist does not want to be passive observer, but wants to actively participate in tourism, and get the maximum satisfaction from the holiday in completely different way. A relatively new form of tourism, known as volunteerism can... More play a key role in this. It turns tourist from a passive observer into an active participant. Volunteerism is a modern blend of volunteering and tourism, the aim of which is for a tourist through the assistance of local administrations, profit and non-profit organisations respecting the principles of sustainable development of local areas based on the cooperation of all stakeholders in the destination, since voluntarists while participating in volunteering programmes satisfy their needs for authentic experience, but above all of that, they also leave a positive mark on the destination they live in.
