Abstract
Tema ovog završnog rada je prikazati koncepte sinkronizacije mrežnih elemenata kori-štenjem Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) i Precision Time Protocol (PTP) sustava kao sinkronizacijskog izvora. S obzirom na to da je svaki signal podložan utjecaju vanjskih smetnji, informacijski sustavi ovisni o takvim signalima trebaju implementirati algoritme koji ´ ce detektirati smetnje u svrhu njihove eliminacije. Najpopularniji takav algoritam je Kalman filter. Kalman filter je vrsta rekurzivnog algoritma koji na osnovu prethodnog stanja modela i trenutnog mjerenja koje sadrži odre ¯ denu komponentu šuma procjenjuje stanje modela u promatranom trenutku eliminiraju ´ ci utjecaj vanjskih faktora. Ovaj rad je sastavljen od teoretskog i praktiˇ cnog dijela. U teoretskom dijelu rada dani su osnovni koncepti sinkronizacije zajedno sa glavnim odlikama GNSS i PTP sustava. Tako-¯ der, opisane su osnovne karakteristike rada Kalman filtera. U prakti ˇ cnom dijelu rada gore navedene stavke iz teoretskog dijela prikazane su kroz aplikaciju napisanu u C programskom jeziku
Abstract (english)
Topic of this thesis are concepts of network synchronization using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Precision Time Protocol PTP as synchronization sources. Since every transmitted signal is prone to external influence, information systems dependent on such signals have to implement algorithms that are capable to detect such interferences and eliminate them. The most popular algorithm of that kind is Kalman filter. Kalman filter is recursive algorithm which is able to estimate current state of observed model eliminating external noise based on previous state of model and current noisy measurement. This thesis consists of teoretical and practical part. In teoretical part, basic concepts of synchronization, together with main characteristics of GNSS and PTP as synchronization sources, are elaborated. Also, main characteristics of Kalman filter are explained. As a practical part, all above mentioned concepts are shown through application written in C programming language
