Tourist trips are an increasingly common way of spending free time, and the organization of the same requirements meets high criteria. The main generator of the above is the increasing availability of tourist destinations caused by globalization, which stimulates the development of tourism, and consequently the overall economy. Traffic and it’s accessibility are indispensable factors of the tourist package that connect tourist supply and demand. Therefore, investing in transport infrastructure is one of the main strategic projects of the country. The tourist, depending on his wishes and possibilities, chooses the type of transport, and the mission of the local and/or state community is to constantly improve the internal and external traffic accessibility of the tourist destination. A quality transport policy enables the sustainability of the destination's attractiveness and tourism development which is evident in analyzing of the tourist development indicators on the example of the city of Split.
