Abstract
Još od pamtivijeka je knjiga bila jedan od čovjekovih najvažnijih alata te mu je služila da se bolje upozna s određenim područjem interesa, da dođe do tražene informacije ali i da mu pomogne prenijeti iskustvo drugoga, emociju ili pak samo da ga opusti u određenom trenutku. Knjižnica u gradu Sinju bi zasigurno trebalo biti mjesto na kojem će svaki pojedinac moći pronaći nešto za sebe, bilo to povijesne, društvene, znanstvene ili bilo koje druge tematike. Stoga je od izuzetne važnosti realizirati projekt nove Gradske knjižnice u Sinju kako bi, s obzirom na broj stanovnika i sam prostor Gradske knjižnice ali i opremljenost iste, ista mogla ponuditi ''svakom po nešto'' što bi uvelike doprinijelo razvoju grada, kulturnom uzdizanju stanovništva ali i kako bi se opravdala investicija, odnosno sam projekt Gradske knjižnice u Sinju. Slijedom navedenog, ovaj rad bi trebao potvrditi opravdanost projekta te prikazati njegovu društvenu ali i ekonomsku komponentu.
Abstract (english)
From time immemorial, the book has been one of man's most important tools and has served him to get better acquainted with a particular area of interest, to get the requested information but also to help convey the experience of another, emotion or just to relax him at a certain moment. The city library of Sinj should certainly be a place where each individual will be able to find something for themselves, whether it is historical, social, scientific or any other topic. Therefore, it is extremely important to implement the project of a new city library in Sinj so that, given the number of inhabitants and the space of the city library and its equipment, it can offer "something to everyone" that would greatly contribute to the development of the city and to its cultural upliftment of the population, but also in order to justify the investment, that is, the project of the city library in Sinj. Consequently, this paper should confirm the justification of the project and show its social and economic component.
