Abstract
Maloprodajni lanac Walmart razvio se iz ciljeva g. Sam-a Walton-a za veliku vrijednost i izvrsnu uslugu kupcima. Osobno uvjerenje da istinsko vodstvo ovisi o voljnoj usluzi bilo je načelo na kojem je izgrađen Walmart i pokretalo odluke koje je tvrtka donijela u posljednjih 50 godina poslovanja. Završni rad sažet je kroz analize prikladne za oblikovanje strategija poslovanja, procjenu uspješnosti odabrane strategije poslovanje, analiziranje poslovnih jedinca odnosno analiza proizvodnih linija te procjena ekoloških čimbenika koji imaju utjecaj na cjelokupnu organizaciju. Menadžment Walmart-a primjenjujući prikladne strategije poslovanja održao je vodeću poziciju na tržištu, te zauzeo poziciju najvećeg svjetskog maloprodajnog lanca. Putem SWOT analizi prikazane su prilike Walmart-a koje uprava pretvara u svoju snagu, ali također su prikazane i slabosti i prijetnje koje je potrebno reducirati politikom poslovanja, ali i inovacijama koje Walmart neprestano uvodi. Uz ostale analize koje izlažu jasniju i čišću sliku tvrtke i potvrđuju činjenicu da je Walmart treća najveća javna kompanija su : osnovna struktura BSC-a, BCG matrica, Porter-ov model pet konkurentskih snaga, navedene su i strategije koje se uspješno primjenjuju u poslovanju Walmart-a već duži niz godina. Walmart kroz vlastitu strategiju poslovanja koja generira značajne prihode, drži do vrijednosti čovjeka i okoliša te kroz svoju fondaciju financira brojne organizacije u području filantropije.
Abstract (english)
Walmart as we know, was evolved from Mr. Sam Walton’s goals for great value and excellent customer service. To believe that true leadership depends on voluntary service was the principle on which Walmart was built and has driven decisions the company made in the last 50 years. Through this thesis, or through the analyzes presented in the thesis, it is possible to see how Mr. Sam or the management of Walmart, has maintained a leading position in the market, and made it the world's largest retail chain. The SWOT analysis are lists the Walmart opportunities that management is turning into its strengths, but also shows the weaknesses and threats that need to be reduced by business policy, but also the innovations that Walmart is constantly introducing. In addition to other analyzes that present a clearer picture of the company and confirm the fact that Walmart is the third largest public company are: the basic structure of BSC, BCG matrix, Porter's model of five competitive forces, and strategies that are successfully applied in Walmart's business for many years. At the very end of the thesis, it is possible to see how Walmart, through a business strategy, generates significant income, adheres to the values of society and the environment, and through its foundation finances numerous organizations in the field of philanthropy.
