The subject of this paper is the major business crisis of the Agrokor Group. Crises are situations that require an immediate response. Crisis situations are characterized by the effects of the answers being unclear or, as such, subsequently exerting themselves, that is, it is not clear whether the measures taken have a bearing on the crisis. Good crisis management is needed to respond to the crisis in a timely manner. Crisis management is defined as a set of functions or processes aimed at identifying and anticipating possible crisis situations, as well as establishing specific ways that will enable an organization to prevent a crisis or respond effectively and successfully manage it while minimizing its consequences and returning to normal as quickly as possible. The paper will clarify the course of the crisis in the Agrokor Group. It is a crisis that began in late 2016 and early 2017 at the largest Croatian company, which has run into insurmountable financial difficulties. The aim of the paper is to cover the topic of the business crisis through all its parts. The theoretical part of the paper defines the concepts of crisis, how it is recognized and how the crisis in business is dealt with. The second part of the paper is a practical part explaining how the crisis occurred and how the crisis was resolved by the example of the Agrokor concern.
