Abstract
Zadatak ovog rada bio je opisati osnovna svojstva svjetla, svjetlovod kao telekomunikacijski vod sa svim karakteristi kama ,ali i njegovim vrstama. Opisani su element i koji čine optičku telekomunikacijsku mrežu. Analiziran je optički reflektometar u vremenskoj domeni OTDR Yokogawa AQ7275. Optički reflektometar vremenske domene je instrument koji se koristi za praćenje performansi veza optičkih vlakana, detektiranje problema koji nastaju unutar optičke komunikacijske mreže, praćenje optičkih instalacija i održavanju pristupnih svjetlovodnih mreža. U sklopu analize izrađena je laboratorijska vježba pomoću koje je objašnjeno područje primjene.
Abstract (english)
The task of this work was to define physical properties of light, define fiber optics as a part of telecommunication systems, types and characteristics of fibers and describe devices that are used in optical networks. Optical time domain reflectometer Yokogawa AQ7275 is analyzed. Optical time domain reflectometer or OTDR is an instrument which is used to analyze optical link performance, detect errors, track installation and maintain optical networks. The last chapter of this thesis is about uses and appliances of this instrument in the laboratory.
