Abstract
Osnovni cilj ovog rada je pokazati vezu između smještajne strukture i sezonalnosti turističkih mjesta u Splitsko-dalmatinskoj županiji. Rad počinje teoretskim definiranjem vrsta smještajnih objekata, te definicijom sezonalnosti turizma, njenih uzroka i posljedica. U idućim poglavljima obrađeni su smještajna struktura, te dolasci i noćenja za Hrvatsku i Splitsko-dalmatinsku županiju. Iz obrađenih podataka se vidi da u hrvatskoj smještajnoj strukturi prevladavaju kampovi i privatni smještaj. Te vrste smještajnih objekata su izrazito osjetljive na sezonalnost. Hoteli, s druge strane, imaju mnogo bolju iskorištenost kapaciteta i ravnomjerniju raspodjelu turističke potražnje. Mali udio hotelskih kapaciteta u smještajnim kapacitetima Hrvatske i Splisko-dalmatinske županije dobrim djelom je posljedica ogromnog povećanja turističke potražnje zadnjih godina u Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english)
The main aim of this paper is to show the connection between the accommodation structure and the seasonality of tourist sites in the Split-Dalmatia County. The paper begins by theoretically defining the types of accommodation facilities, and defining the seasonality of tourism, its causes and consequences. In the following chapters the accommodation structure, arrivals and overnights for Croatia and Split-Dalmatia County are discussed. From the collected data, it can be seen that camps and private accommodation are predominant in the Croatian accommodation structure. These types of accommodations are extremely sensitive to seasonality. Hotels, on the other hand, have a much better capacity utilization and a more even distribution of tourism demand. The small share of hotel capacities in the accommodation capacities of Croatia and the Split-Dalmatia County is largely due to the huge increase in tourist demand in recent years in Croatia.
