This graduation thesis analyzed today's digital environment within industry 4.0 and the way it acts on supply chain of companies in trade activities. The graduation thesis describes the development of supply chain through historically important economic events and explaines the importance of innovations that were the backbone of the development of trade, and trade networks and which led to the current form of the chain's functioning. The supply chain is generally the most important business process of all trading and manufacturing companies. Apart from the fact that it is the only process that affects the physical functioning of the business, it also affects the costs of the business itself. The supply chain connects suppliers, intermediaries such as traders and manufacturers, and customers, and the efficient and uninterrupted functioning of the supply chain in today's fast-growing economy is extremely demanding to maintain. In thesis is explained how the ERP system approaches the supply chain as a management and information system that integrates a number of digital technologies of industry 4.0 and thus automates processes, but also accelerates the chain itself. In addition to automation, it was also explained how the ERP system improves visibility at every point of the chain flow and thus increases the control over the chain environment. The networking of all chain participants in the blockchain contributes to real-time data monitoring, better risk control and prevention, but also to more accurate making of important strategic and operational decisions. Using the example of 4D Wand ERP system, the practical part of the thesis shows in which way the ERP system connects the commercial, storage and financial components of the supply chain. Movements through the system are shown in stages, from the customer order, through the order to the supplier, to the delivery of the goods to the customer and system capabilities at diffirent stages in terms of operation, but also in terms of reporting which all contribute to better management and improvement of supply chain itself.
