Business tourism is a specific form of tourism, because these types of trips combine work and pleasure into one and are therefore a complex phenomenon by nature. The fact is that many business trips involve a combination of work-related activities and leisure-related activities. Trips with the purpose of business in general is not a recent phenomenon, people have been traveling for work for centuries. Nevertheless, in the last fifty years, the number of business travelers has grown more than in the previous centuries combined. Demand changes from day to day, which is why the path to a satisfied tourist has become more difficult. The aim of this paper is to show how important is a role of destination management companies in the development and organization of business trips. Over the years, destination management companies have been a normal phenomenon in the role of organizers of various business events and trips. The scope and depth of the organization of this type of travel greatly contributed to the development of DMC. In order for the organization of a business trip to be effective, destination management companies can only achieve a high-quality and efficient complex tourism product in cooperation with other stakeholders from the public and private sectors. For the success of destination management companies, human factors are of great importance, which actually play a key role in order for the tourist product to cause satisfaction among demanding tourists, such as, not in every case, business travelers.
