Abstract
Otpad je skup tvari kemijskog, biološkog ili nuklearnog porijekla. Nastaje kao posljedica ljudske djelatnosti. Za dalju upotrebu ne može se koristiti na klasičan način već zahtjeva nove postupke obrade i prerade. Otpad se dijeli na plinoviti, tekući i kruti otpad. Može biti inertan, bezopasan i opasan po ljude i okolinu. Gospodarenje otpadom podrazumijeva skupljanje, prijevoz, oporabu i zbrinjavanje otpada, uključujući nadzor i naknadno održavanje područja zbrinjavanja. Biološki otpad je biorazgradivi otpad. Obuhvaća otpad iz kućanstava, restorana, tj. otpad od proizvodnje hrane. Biootpad čini gotovo trećinu kućnog otpada i temeljna je sirovina za proizvodnju kvalitetnog biokomposta. Najbolji način da se biootpad iskoristi je da se prerađuje na mjestu njegovog nastanka procesom kojeg zovemo kompostiranje.
Abstract (english)
Waste is a set of substances of chemical, biologicalornuclearorigin. It arises as a consequenceof human activity. For further use it cannot beused in the classical way but requiresnew processing and processing procedures. Waste is divided into gaseous, liquid and solid waste. It can be inert, harm less and dangerous to people and the environment. Waste management involvesthe collection, transport, recovery and disposal of waste, including the supervision and subse quentmaintenance of the disposal site. Biological waste is biodegradable waste. It includes waste from households, restaurants, i.e. waste from food production. Biowaste makes upalmost a third of house hold waste and is the basicraw material for the production of quality biocompost. The best way to use biowasteis to processit at the place of it soriginby a processwecallcomposting.
