Abstract
Dijabetska retinopatija jedna je od najvećih prijetnji dijabetesa koja može dovesti do trajne sljepoće ukoliko se ne otkrije i ne tretira na vrijeme. Cilj ovoga rada je izrada modela konvolucijskih neuronskih mreža za detekciju dijabetske retinopatije sa slika pozadine oka. U radu je opisana teorija obrade medicinskih slika, prikupljanja i obrade slika pozadine oka te konvolucijskih neuronskih mreža. Potom je opisan praktični dio obrade slika i izrade modela. Uspješnost rezultata uspoređena je sa rezultatima iz različitih znanstvenih radova koji se bave istim problemom.
Abstract (english)
Diabetic retinopathy is one of the biggest threats of diabetes that can lead to permanent blindness if not detected and treated in time. The aim of this paper is to develop convolutional neural network model suitable for diabetic retinopathy detection using eye retina images. This paper describes the theory of medical image processing, eye retina image collection, eye retina image processing and convolutional neural networks. The practical part of image processing and model making are described afterwards. Results are compared with different scientific papers results, dealing with the same problem.
