Abstract
Vinska regija Dalmacija obuhvaća područje koje se proteže od Zadra do Dubrovnika, a u istu pripadaju i dalmatinsko zaleđe te otoci Hvar, Vis, Brač, Šolta, Mljet, Veliki i Mali Drvenik, Lastovo i Korčula. Na jugu Dalmacije u Konavlima nalazi se najstariji pisani oblik o uzgoju vinove loze na hrvatskom tlu. Najkvalitetnije sorte vina uspijevaju u područjima koja su najteže prohodna, teško pristupačna i zahtjevna za obradu i održavanje. Dalmacija je regija s više od 4450 ha vinograda i s velikim brojem autohtonih sorti vina. Taj je potencijal prepoznat od strane lokalnog stanovništva, ali i turista koji traže jedinstvena i autentična iskustva i okuse koje povezuju s turističkom destinacijom koju su posjetili. Unatoč činjenici da je proizvodnja vina manja nego prije 30 godina, evidentan je veliki napredak u vinarstvu tj. kvaliteti finalnog proizvoda za što su zaslužne male obiteljske vinarije u kojima se primjenjuju najnoviji tehnološki procesi i znanja, a dokaz tome su brojne nagrade na domaćim i svjetskim vinskim natjecanjima.
Abstract (english)
The Dalmatia wine region includes the area that stretches from Zadar to Dubrovnik, and the Dalmatian hinterland includes the islands of Hvar, Vis, Brač, Šolta, Mljet, Veliki and Mali Drvenik, Lastovo and Korčula. In the south of Dalmatia in Konavle there is the oldest written form about growing vines on Croatian soil. The highest quality wine varieties thrive in areas that are the most difficult to pass, difficult to access and demanding to process and maintain. Dalmatia is a region with more than 4450 ha of vineyards and a large number of indigenous varieties of wine. This potential is recognized by the local population, but also by tourists looking for a unique and authentic experience and flavors that connect with the tourist destination they have visited. Despite the fact that wine production was lower 30 years ago, there has been great progress in winemaking, ie the quality of the final product, which is due to small family wineries that apply the latest technological processes and knowledge, which is proof that numerous awards at home and world wine competitions.
