Entrepreneurship is very important for the economy because entrepreneurs are the main suppliers of both business and consumer markets. Entrepreneurs increase the competitiveness of the national economy with their products and services and create where there was nothing. Of all the types of entrepreneurship listed in this paper, traditional entrepreneurship is the most common of types of entrepreneurship in the Republic of Croatia. The entrepreneurial infrastructure in the Republic of Croatia is very diverse and developed which is important because without good entrepreneurial climate, entrepreneurs create new ideas with difficulty. Start-ups are a new phenomena compared to the classic types of entrepreneurship. They are oriented towards finding solutions for everyday problems which encourages all participants in start-up projects to be innovative which is important. A record number of start-ups are currently operating in the Republic of Croatia and they have a huge potential to become a financially stable and recognizable company. This paper mentions some of the most important former startups, namely Rimac Automobili and Infobip who are the flagships of the Croatian start-up scene. These two companies can serve as an example to all entrepreneurs that with a well worked out business idea and a sufficient amount of money for development, they can emerge on global markets.
