The aim of the paper is to explain the distribution of insurance and reinsurance. Distribution of insurance means selling, proposing to sell, advising or in any other way preparing to enter into an insurance contract. Also, the distribution of insurance and reinsurance covers the sale of insurance products through Internet sites, including those sites that are used for comparison if they allow the conclusion of an insurance contract. Reinsurance distribution refers to the participation, proposal or implementation of other activities during the preparation of the conclusion of a reinsurance contract by a reinsurance company without the intervention of a reinsurance intermediary. In the territory of the Republic of Croatia, insurance distribution activities can be performed by insurance distributors registered in the Agency's register, namely insurance intermediaries, secondary insurance intermediaries and insurance companies. Reinsurance distribution businesses may be provided by reinsurance distributors such as reinsurance intermediaries, reinsurance companies and licensed insurance companies.
