Business ethics is a set of beliefs about what is considered a moral and immoral business. The purpose of business ethics is to consider the consequences of economic activities and business decisions for the company, the environment and the key participants. In the process of ethical decision making it is necessary to first identify the problem and then collect the facts and determine possible solutions. The next step is to evaluate possible solutions from different ethical perspectives. Ethical decision is made according to the best criterion and then applied. The last step is to check the correctness of the decision made. For the purpose of this paper the application of the principles of business ethics in Podravka was analyzed. The principles of business ethics in business relations are respected at Podravka. The most important mechanism in managing business ethics at Podravka is the code of ethics. This code sets out the rules of conduct for all employees, and the emphasis is placed on executives at Podravka who, by way of example, should show employees in the company how they should behave. Executives should supervise their subordinates, help them with ethical concerns, regularly provide them with the information they need to perform their work properly, create an appropriate work atmosphere, encourage teamwork, prevent potential employee conflicts, and promote and reward employees when they deserve it. based on the criteria of ability, quality and performance, and an objective assessment of the potential for further development.
