Electric vehicles are becoming an important element in European and global mobility. Vehicles with internal combustion engines have been developing for over 100 years along with the entire oil industry. It will take years and significant investments for electric cars to become competitive. This final paper describes the key topics that influence the improvement and development of electric vehicles, and their infrastructure. The topics covered in this final paper are directly related to the improvement of the future development of electric vehicles, batteries in electric cars, methods of charging electric cars, charging stations for electric cars according to charging power and location, types of connectors. The final paper also addresses the topic of charging safety, charging technology and the impact of technological innovations on the future of electric charging stations. This topic emphasizes the importance of the developing of charging station networks as much as the development of electric cars. Without a well-developed and widespread network of charging stations that enable fast charging, electric cars will not be suitable for wider use.
