The subject of this paper is the management of working capital of an investment project. The components and the classification of working capital, working capital management and the analysis of working capital are presented. We designate working capital as the difference between short-term assets and short-term liabilities. In practice, it is also called net working capital. It consists mostly of cash, tradable securities, receivables and inventories. For successful management of working capital, quality strategies, mid-term planning and changing business conditions are needed. One of the most important areas of day-to-day management of the company consists of working capital management. Working capital is the company's liquidity and financial stability, and it is in essence an answer to how much liquid assets the company is available to maintain and expand its business. The value of working capital can be positive or negative, depending on the structure of the company's assets and liabilities. In order to demonstrate whether the management of working capital affects the profitability of the company, all the components of the cash gap, the bonding dates, the bonding dates and the date of bonding of the supplier are calculated.
