Abstract
Rad obrađuje temu napajanja uređaja preko Etherneta. Ethernet predstavlja skupni naziv za nekoliko standarda koji prate razvoj ove tehnologije. Prednost korištenja ovog načina napajanja je izbacivanje naponskog adaptera i kabela za napajanje jer mrežni uređaj dobiva snagu i napon preko istog kabela na kojem se prenose podaci. Na taj način ostvaruje se ušteda u velikim računalnim mrežama. Napajanje preko etherneta koristi se ukoliko postoji mrežni preklopnik (switch) koji može na taj način napajati uređaje te krajnji uređaj koji se može napajati preko etherneta. Preklopnik koji ne podržava napajanje preko etherneta ipak može napajati krajnji uređaj ako između preklopnika i krajnjeg uređaja postavimo strujni adapter (current injector).
Abstract (english)
This thesis presents the topic of powering network devices over Ethernet which is a collective name for several standars of this technology. Advantage of using this technique is ejecting aditional voltage adapters and power supplyes because device is being powered with the same cable that is used for transfering data. Large savings can be achived using this technology. Power over ethernet can be used properly if network has a switch that supports this technique and if end device has capability of powering over ethernet. If network does not have power over ethernet enabled switch but end device can be powered this way, current injector can be installed between switch and the powered device.
